OAA Licensed Architect +  Technologist (Senior Level)

Are you feeling under-utilized in your current role? Do you have proven technical knowledge but are looking to better develop your project management, design and leadership skills? This opportunity allows for those who toiling in an intermediate capacity to develop senior-level skills in all aspects of project design, management and administration, from design workshops right through to contract administration and close out.

Responsibilities

  • Management of multiple projects at a time, varying in size and type

  • Prepare and/or work with junior staff to coordinate drawings and specifications for client review, permit application, bidding, and for construction.

  • Coordination with consultants

  • Construction administration services

  • Research on products and participate in the choice of materials and construction systems

  • Support and supervise junior staff

 

  • Qualifications

  • Professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch) or Diploma (DEC) in Architectural Technology

  • Licensed OAA or MAATO member

  • Minimum 5 years experience in an architecture environment

  • Comprehensive knowledge of the Ontario Building Code

  • Thorough knowledge of building systems and detailing

  • Thorough understanding of specification writing

  • Ability to manage multiple projects at a time

  • Excellent written and verbal communication

  • Highly organized & self motivated

  • Strong work ethic & team player
